About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing since 2000 and in private practice since 2011. I am currently licensed in the state of Texas and am a Texas Board Approved Supervisor providing supervision for master’s level social workers.

After graduating with my Masters in Social Work, I began my Social Work career working in Community Mental Health with adults and then into Residential Treatment as a Therapist and later Clinical Director with children and teens who struggled with severe mental illness, abuse histories and behavioral problems. I have been a Therapist in College Counseling at Cornell University and for the last 9 years have been in private practice working with young adults and adults who come in for a variety of reasons including phase of life difficulties, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, career and academic problems, parenting challenges and perinatal mood disorders.

My Specialties include:

  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Trauma and Loss
  • Phase of life changes/challenges in adulthood including in parenting and relationship
  • Perinatal Mood Disorders
  • Shame and Shame Resilience

In particular I have extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and have specialized training in Perinatal Mood Disorders from Postpartum Support International. Nickie Haine, LCSW-S

For 19 years I have passionately worked with women, men, teens, young adults and families focusing on anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, perinatal mood disorders, shame and resiliency and strategies in parenting, communication and stress management.

I have been happily married for 15 years and have 3 wild and wonderful boys under the age of 15 that keep me busy outside of my practice.  I love my work and believe that my greatest skills are my ability to listen deeply and to provide an open, caring space for people of all ages to explore their thoughts, feelings and lives in an authentic way. I am an active therapist and work hard to blend listening with guidance and tools to support clients in discovering, healing and creating their own vision for their life.
